My name is Angela Jaramillo, I have been dedicated in helping others throughout my life and more so now. I have been volunteering seven years as a Lay Minister in The Catholic Faith . After recognizing that many people are in struggle and many are in need in our community, I decided to start taking little steps, small steps. Small steps that lead to big things. The goal plan is to come together in unity throughout our San Luis Valley to join hands, to build a firm arm in the uplifting of our beautiful communities of the San Luis Valley.
I am a mother of two grown young adults with two grandchildren. I am Hispanic, A strong hard-working woman, who is driven and goal-oriented, & motivated To helping those families and individuals that are in struggle and in need.
Together we are a team and together we build and strengthen our communities, let’s all join hands to build a firm arm in the Uplifting of our beautiful San Luis Valley.
Gary Johnson, originally from San Diego and most recently from Texas, retired to the San Luis Valley in 2013. He recently served on the Monte Vista City Council, where he heard Angela’s heart and plea for those in need. His heart has always been to serve and has a heart for others with a passion for serving. He has four wonderful children, nine grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren (soon to be six) in California, Texas, Oklahoma, and Pennsylvania. His place in this worthy organization is in web design, problem solving and promotion. “It’s easy to find a problem in your town. It’s quite another to want to do something about it. And it stands out in any community when someone like Angela says, ‘I want to be a part of the solution'”!
